One Caribbean United brings Caribbean and West Indian people and communities together to strengthen relationships, friendships, cultural connections, professional networks, businesses and collective opportunities across the diaspora.
It is not about making every island the same. It is about celebrating what makes each island and community distinct while strengthening what connects Caribbean people around the world.
The work is not new. For more than two decades, Leslie and Sharda Jones have built businesses, communities and cultural connections serving Caribbean people abroad — beginning with CaribbeanFlags.com in 2001 and the Caribbean United community that grew alongside it.
Trinidad met Jamaica
Leslie Jones is Trinidadian. Sharda Jones is Jamaican. What followed became a family, businesses, a community and more than twenty years of Caribbean connection.
Leslie brought technology, e-commerce and business building. Sharda brought relationships, community and a natural ability to bring people together.
Stewards, not the story
The founders keep the record, but the history belongs to the customers, members and communities who made it. Much of that archive is still being recovered.
Distinct, and connected
Caribbean identity is not one thing. Every island, country and community carries its own language, food, music and history — and Caribbean people abroad recognise each other anyway.
